Fittea, Cherry and Green Tea Smoothie


Since getting a Nutribullet for my birthday, smoothies have been on the menu every breakfast. It started off being very tame with fruits and milk but as the week went on and recommendations were made, I tried adding greens such as spinach and kale. I reckon spinach is the easiest veg to add in your morning shake as you cant taste it is there, it just works. There are loads of other healthy additions you can make such as coconut water, almond milk, berries and seeds.

But one of the best things I think you can add is… tea! Tea as you know is super good for you, packed with antioxidants and has tons of health benefits. Having a daily cuppa of white, green and black tea will do you the world of good. So where better to stick your daily healthy cuppa than your smoothie! I love adding green tea to my morning blasts as it gives me caffeine plus all the bonus health attributes … and it is said to boost you metabolism!

Below is a recipe using our Skinny Tea. Enjoy!


Serves 2:

1 banana

A handful of cherries (I use frozen ones)

A sprinkling of goji berries and chia seeds

1 tsp of wheatgrass. I hate the taste so only a little bit for me but feel free to add more!

A handful of spinach (organic if possible. Normally the organic bags are only 20p more so I think it’s worth it)

Cranberry juice – add as much as you need for the sweetness. I put in about 1/2 glass

Ice ice baby

1 cup cold Skinny tea. Make the tea first with water at about 80 degrees and then once brewed, cool down with some ice.

Put it all into the blender and blend!!

That’s it. Super healthy and super tasty.
